    The main significance of iron lies in its presence in hemoglobin. It binds oxygen. Red blood cells then carry it to the body's cells. It ensures the normal function of the thyroid gland, brain, and immune system. Symptoms of deficiency include physical weakness, hair loss, brittle nails, weakened bones, weight gain, inflammation, swallowing disorders, fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath. In combination with vitamin C, it has a significant impact on improving anemia and the proper function of red blood cells.
